Hello families! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Have no fear, the kids have kept very busy with lots of exciting learning! We just finished a unit on non-fiction reading where students practiced previewing a text and reading to find the central idea. They will now put those skills to use as they begin writing argument essays! Students have each chosen a different topic and will be forming claims and supporting those claims with meaningful reasons and evidence, and also using logic, reasoning and counter argument to write powerfully and persuasively!
